Man seriously injured after hit by carPolice reported that a pedestrian was struck by a car while crossing the street at the northeast corner of 10th Avenue and West 15th Street in the early morning of Jan. 31. Police said that the driver was traveling west on West 15th Street with a green light traffic signal at the intersection when the car struck the 25-year-old victim around 2:35 a.m, causing the pedestrian to be thrown into the windshield and then into the road. Police said that the victim was running north on 10th Avenue near the east crosswalk and was crossing against the signal when he was hit. The victim was removed to Bellevue Hospital with head trauma. Police said that the victim was still alive on Monday evening but that in his condition, it is unlikely that he will survive. The driver was not charged but the investigation is ongoing.

$41K watch stolenA 41-year-old man reported that his watch was stolen while he was inside the Marquee night club at 289 10th Avenue on Jan. 21 at 12:01 a.m. He told police that he was hanging out with friends at the club and was intoxicated when he went into the bathroom, took his watch off and left it on the side of the sink. He said that he returned an hour later but the Patek Philippe watch, which he said was worth $41,000, was no longer there. He reported the incident last Thursday.

Phone stolen at Artichoke A 22-year-old woman reported that her iPhone was stolen while she was inside Artichoke Basille Pizza at 114 10th Avenue on Jan. 17 at 4 a.m. She told police that while she was standing in line, an unknown man removed the phone from her bag that was hanging on her shoulder. She said that the man later called one of her friends and said that he would return the phone if she met him on Morris Park Drive in the Bronx with $100. The victim said that her phone could make and receive calls but couldn’t be traced. No arrests have been made.

Man’s foot run over on West 42ndA 56-year-old man reported that his foot was run over while he was crossing the street at the northeast corner of 10th Avenue and West 42nd Street Jan. 30 at 10:40 p.m. He told police that he was crossing the street when a black Jeep going north on 10th Avenue made a right turn on West 42nd Street and ran over his foot. The victim said that the driver fled without stopping and there were no witnesses. The victim complained of pain in his right foot as well as back pain.

Man arrested for Javits pizza theftPolice arrested a 37-year-old man for petit larceny inside the Jacob Javits Center on West 34th Street last Saturday at noon. Police said that the man took a piece of pizza from the convention center’s food court and ate it without paying for it. The pizza was reportedly worth $9.

Cab driver wanted in soup assaultA 30-year-old man reported that he got into an argument with a cab driver at the northeast corner of 11th Avenue and West 24th Street last Saturday at 4:40 p.m. He told police that he was driving when he and the cab driver got into the dispute, after which the suspect threw soup on the victim’s jacket. The cab driver then left the scene and did not leave any information.
