Bar Terrace Assault

a man was arrested for assault on may 15 at 10:15 p.m. after he allegedly struck a woman on the street with a corona beer bottle. police said that 25-year-old alexander ponze was on the terrace of the boat basin, near the west side highway and west 79th street. the victim, a 27-year-old woman, was walking down the street near the terrace when she was hit in the back of the head with the bottle, which ponze allegedly threw from the terrace. cops said the bottle caused a minor laceration. at time of arrest, police reportedly found cocaine in ponze's front right pocket.
