Yacht Break-In

Police arrested a man for breaking into an unusual residence on Wednesday, March 6th, at 5 a.m. The 31-year-old man was taken into custody after he damaged the hatch of a yacht docked on the Hudson near Harrison Street and West Street in order to climb onboard. The 24-year-old man who calls the boat home was sleeping onboard at the time and awoke when he heard the commotion and called the police. The perp was in possesion of a hammer, a substance suspected to be crystal meth and a pipe with meth residue on it.
