Woman killed in Motorcycle Crash

    a woman was killed and two people were injured when a van crashed into a motorcycle on saturday around 10:30 p.m. the motorcycle, carrying a man and a woman, was traveling north on west end avenue, while the van was heading south on west end avenue and they met at 65th street, according to police.

    "the two people flew off the motorcycle into the air, and they skidded on the street when they landed," one eyewitness, kevin chapman, told the daily news.

    the passenger, lisa roldan, 39, from fairview, new jersey, was transported to st. luke's-roosevelt hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. the motorcyclist was taken to new york-presbyterian hospital weill cornell and is alive.

    a male passenger of the van was also injured. he was taken to new york-presbyterian hospital weill cornell and is in stable condition, police said.
