We seem to have already settled on a winner.
A new CBS News/New York Times poll finds that 63% of Americans believe Hillary Clinton would defeat her Republican challenger for the presidential nod in 2008. Of course she would have to make it through the primary first, but current polls indicate that might not be a problem.
Even 53% of Republicans think Hillary is a shoe-in, which sort of puts the brakes on the whole "Hillary is the best thing that can happen to us because she is unelectable" meme a lot of GOP types are pushing these days.
