Where Congestion Bus Money Goes

The MTA is faxing to members of the State Assembly a fact sheet identifying just which bus routes will see immediate improvements should congestion pricing be approved and the City is awarded the $500 million federal largesse it hopes to receive, should it meet the July 16 deadline to pass the proposal in Albany (at this point, that seems highly unlikely).
Nonetheless, they aren't making this easy for Staten Island and The Bronx to support the plan. Of the 37 identified regular and express bus routes only one will be targeted in each of those boroughs. Queens will see the bulk of the improvements with 18 identified routes. The MTA has also identified ten routes in Manhattan and seven in Brooklyn.
