Weiner: Keep On Truckin'

Yesterday, Congressman Anthony Weiner released a report alerting the city to the continued rise of truck traffic, and offered several suggestions on just what can be done to bring those numbers down.

Included among those suggestions is an increase on truck tolls during peak traffic hours, a move Weiner hopes would especially cut into truck traffic in Manhattan. The congressman's study found that 96% of all Manhattan deliveries take place during those peak hours.

"We want New York City to grow and we want bustling commerce," said Weiner. "But at this rate, we are going to choke on our success."
