There's an old saying and there's some validity to it: "You're only as sick as the secrets you keep." Secrets abound in families, often to the detriment of the people involved. In my novel "Former Things" this fact becomes clear in the narrative of what happens when mother Emily Preston keeps a family secret from daughter Nicole. A 20-year-estrangement results until the two come face to face after a disaster nearly claims the daughter's life. Family estrangement is becoming epidemic in our culture. By writing the book I hope to propagate a seed called forgiveness. Gail Lowe, Author of "Former Things" - available on amazon.com
