The new collection of watches from Paul Frank arent exactly what youd expect from the candy-colored arbiter of cartoony cuteness. True, they are brightly lit and boldly shaped, and the influence of bathroom scales, odometers and appliance ads gives it the youthful buoyancy for which hes known, but this time around, hes included 50s retro accents, walnut detailing and sunray dialing, which give everything a more mature, sophisticated look. Then, of course, theres his modern take on everyones favorite childhood accessory, the calculator watch, for those who are apparently still indulging their inner child.
