Violent Robbery on A Train

A mugger stole a laptop from a woman July 17 at the Central Park West and West 81st Street train stop. Police said the mugger entered the local A train at 10:49 p.m. and grabbed the 27-year-old’s laptop. He dragged her out of the train car onto the station platform and punched her in the face several times. He told her to let go and said, “I have a gun.” Though the West Village woman told police she never saw a gun, she let go of the $2,000 Apple laptop. He punched her in the face a few more times before fleeing. She refused medical attention.
