Vilsack To Obama: Welcome Aboard

Though corners of the right-wing [have already started], if there's going to be a negative campaign against Barack Obama developed by his fellow Democrats it's apparently going to be some time before it rears its ugly head. In fact, former Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack almost seems psyched to engage Obama, and everyone else, in the ongoing debate.

“We welcome Barack Obama and all the other candidates into the race. Voters across our country are going to hear a real debate about how to put the Bush years behind us and get America moving in the right direction. We’re glad that other candidates are joining the race. We look forward to a real debate about the issues as the other candidates begin to speak out,”

said Vilsack spokesman Craig Varoga.
