Vigil for Sean Bell

| 11 Nov 2014 | 01:18

Sean Bell’s mom begins a [24 hours a day, 50-day vigil] outside the police precinct—one day for each bullet fired on Nov. 25. Other family members and friends will be taking turns standing “for peace and justice” during the coming days. A banner depicting the deceased, 50 illustrated bullet holes and the words “Never Again” is hung nearby. The family is hoping to urge newly inaugurated Gov. Spitzer to appoint a special prosecutor to the case.
