Video of Suspected Riverside Park Attacker Released

the police released surveillance video of the man they believe attacked two women in riverside park july 5.

the video shows the suspect walking down a street an hour after the early morning attacks. he is seen holding an ipod, which police believe belonged to his first victim that day, a 19-year-old jogger.

around 6 a.m. near west 120th street, he shoved her against a wall. she struck her head and lost consciousness. she woke up on a park bench with her ipod missing.

later, a second woman reported an attack. at 6:20 a.m., he attacked a 48-year-old woman near west 98th street. while walking her dog, he struck her repeatedly until she fell, then kicked her in the chest and stomach before fleeing.
