    If you haven't been up to Harlem yet, and you're going to forgo the Puerto Rican festivities happening all over the city, then the best bet would be to travel to [URB ALT] festival tomorrow, June 9.  Didn't know there was this much going on in West Harlem? Well, the alternative music/visual art goes down noon-6pm at the Harlem School of the Arts.  Check out songs and selections in tribute to the great jazz composer/musician/spiritual guru, Alice Coltrane.

    Musical Artists: Jahlili Rawkstraw and Shanti Om - Violin/laptop/bass shenanigans at  Noon Pillow Theory - Post punk soul at 1pm Tenderhead - Soul laced protorock melodicism of Tenderhead at 2pm The Exit - Socially incisive post rock at 3pm Res - Pop-rock-soul-ambient singer at 4pm MuthaWit Orchestra - Cosmic big band explorations at 5pm

    All taking place at Harlem School of the Arts, 645 St. Nicholas Ave. (at 141st St.), $10 (Percentages of proceeds from this URB ALT Festival event will be donated to the John Coltrane Foundation and the Baton Rouge Hurricane Katrina Fund.)
