a mugger on a bicycle nearly stole a gold necklace right from the neck of an upper west side woman oct. 23. the 80-year-old woman was walking on west 71st street near broadway at 4:45 p.m., when the man rode up near her on a bicycle and grabbed the necklace. it broke and fell down her blouse. the woman was uninjured and still has the necklace.
