Two-Wheeled Getaway

A mugger on a bicycle nearly stole a gold necklace right from the neck of an Upper West Side woman Oct. 23. The 80-year-old woman was walking on West 71st Street near Broadway at 4:45 p.m., when the man rode up near her on a bicycle and grabbed the necklace. It broke and fell down her blouse. The woman was uninjured and still has the necklace.
