Two Minutes For Hooker-ing

Sean Avery of the New York Rangers is among he most annoying players in the NHL.  If you’re a Rangers fan, you love him.  If you’re a fan of the opposing team, you hate him.  And while Avery’s career on the ice hasn’t been hall-of-fame worthy just yet, his off the ice antics have received more attention than your average hockey pest.  A report in [The New York Daily News] [over the weekend](http://www.nydailynews.com/news/2008/03/29/2008-03-29_sean_avery_is_no_lonely_ranger_laughs_of.html) claimed Sean Avery’s name and private phone number were listed in the black book of notorious Manhattan madam Kristin Davis.

"This assertion is false and defamatory," Avery said. "I was never a client of Ms. Davis, nor of any prostitute.”

Using someone else’s name is one thing.  Hell, I used to say my name was Ned Flanders when I went out to eat just so my friends and I would chuckle as they announced the name so we could be seated, but his private number sets off alarms for me. Avery claims his “enemies” planted his private number, but how many people really know his phone number much less care enough to use it and his name to get sex? The whole situation is strange, and with all the prostitute scandals in the last month, it’s hard to believe anybody.

"I do know that if I ever was to venture into one of these establishments, I definitely wouldn't use my own name," he said. "I think that that would probably be stating the obvious.”

That's OK, Sean, [just stick to what you're good at].
