At 4:30 PM on Monday, June 3, a 12-year-old girl was walking home from school, heading eastbound on 86th Street. She was talking on her cell phone when a 12-year-old boy heading westbound walked past her, then ran back toward her and grabbed the cell phone out of her hand. The boy fled on foot, heading eastbound on 86th Street and then northbound onto East End Avenue. Unfortunately, the phone could not be tracked, as it was switched off. The snatched cell was an iPhone 4S, valued at $500.
