With a menu of foods exclusively from New York State, catering company Great Performances and the publication Edible Manhattan kicked off their Farm to Table Dining Series on July 15. At the series’ core is the 100 Mile Menu, comprising organic ingredients at their seasonal peak from within 100 miles of the city. All ingredients are served within 48 hours of their harvest.
The series continues through October with dinners, brunches and a cocktail buffet at venues in the city. A dinner on Aug. 8 will be held at the Katchkie Farm in Kinderhook, N.Y., where the produce for the series is grown. Events are also scheduled for Aug. 23, Sept. 22 and Oct. 11.
