The Towers Were Exploded, MAAAAAAN!

The American Institute of Architects has over 80,000 members. So why would anyone care when a handful of those members embrace debunked conspiracy theories?

A group of about 60 architects and engineering professionals, calling themselves Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth, are sending around an open letter demanding "a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 - specifically the collapse of the WorldTradeCenterTowers and Building 7. We believe that there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore that the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that may have been the actual cause behind the destruction of the World Trade Center Towers and WTC Building 7."

What evidence do they have? Well, for starters, people at the scene "heard explosions." So, in all the craziness of 9/11, with no one really knowing just what was going on, the people on the ground heard loud noises coming from the buildings. Having never heard terrorists strike skyscrapers with planes and the chain reaction of fire and chaos that followed, they figured "must be explosions." Therefore, to the "9/11 truth" dipshits, it must be true that explosions were heard, no matter what the explanation. Sneaky, sneaky government...didn't you know we have ears? We heard the truth!

Being a 9/11 conspiracy nutjob is like a cult, and it doesn't matter how much rational evidence you present them with. They just shake their heads at our stupidity. They just know that an intricate conspiracy theory involving thousands of people (not one of whom has talked, mind you) and the installation of explosives, in secret no less, in three super office buildings visited by thousands everyday just had to happen.
