New York City isn’t the only part of the state that has been attracting a growing number of high-tech companies.

In areas struggling to rebound from the recession and recover from the longer-term decline in manufacturing, the state has been recruiting companies like Yahoo! and IBM to add or expand operations, create new jobs and assist in rebuilding the economy.
