Teenage Girl Assaulted By Boys for Cell Phone

A teenage girl was walking North on Amsterdam Avenue on March 14th around 4 p.m. when she observed a group of male youths fighting. As she crossed the street, she was approached from behind by one of the boys who grabbed her cell phone. The victim grabbed her assailant by the jacket sleeve, and fell to the ground. A second perpetrator grabbed the phone again, and they fled. Cops did a sweep of the area, but could not find the assailants. They are described as approximately 16 years old with dark skin and dark hoodies.
