Early this morning, right smack in the middle of rush hour commute, a high school student was [stabbed exiting a subway station] near Union Square. At 9 a.m., outside 104 East 14th Street, a 16-year-old climbed the station steps and was chased by three or four other teens who ultimately caught up to and [stabbed the victim ](http://www.ny1.com/ny1/content/index.jsp?stid=1&aid=67363)with either an ice pick or a screwdriver. It seems the victim, a junior at Chelsea High School, is now in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital and police have taken a 13-year-old suspect into custody. Just last week, a 20-year-old man was stabbed for [dancing with the wrong girl](http://www.nypress.com/blogx/display_blog.cfm?bid=23011743&day=26&startmonth=2&startyear=2007) at a nightclub. We'll wait on tenterhooks for the motive behind this attack.
