Teen Mugged For Phone

A 13-year-old boy was mugged for his cell phone Jan. 6 at 5:50 p.m. Police said he was approached by three muggers wearing black masks and hooded sweatshirts on the corner of West End Avenue and West 81st Street, a block away from the victim’s home. One perp reportedly said, “Give me your phone. Don’t run or scream. We have a gun. Don’t call the cops.” The boy handed over the phone, police said, and all three muggers fled north on West End Avenue.
