the columbus avenue business improvement district (bid) announced that the second annual "new taste of the upper west side," presented by zagat, is scheduled for may 30. the event features food from the vast array of restaurants, as well as wines from two-dozen long island vineyards. proceeds from the event will be directed toward the bid's neighborhood streetscape beautification program.
