The episode begins with Malcolm and Bridget arriving at Siobhan’s secret office only to find that someone has emptied the previously full office and left it completely barren. Unlike previous episodes, this one doesn’t focus too much on finding out who is after Siobhan, but rather, gives us an insight into why the sisters are the way they are.

Bridget gets a mysterious call from a florist calling to confirm Siobhan’s annual order of canary roses to be sent to a strange address in New Jersey. Curious as to what is at the address, or whom the flowers are for, Bridget makes the trip to the mystery house and meets Nancy Painter. When she arrives, Nancy greets her warmly but Bridget soon realizes that Nancy is the grandmother of Siobhan’s deceased son, Sean.

Bridget grows uncomfortable and leaves and during a series of flashback scenes we find out more about the sister’s past. Seven years ago Bridget and Siobhan were living together in Nevada with Sean. Sean’s dad, Dylan was in and out of the picture and Siobhan wanted nothing to do with him but Bridget always took Dylan’s side. One night while Bridget snuck Sean away to spend time with Dylan, the three of them got into a car accident that killed Sean. The flashbacks give us insight into why Bridget’s drug problems started and why the sisters were estranged for so long.

Meanwhile, Juliet’s mother Katherine drops a bomb on Andrew and declares that she wants Juliet to relocate to Miami to live with her. Juliet agrees that it might be a good idea but Andrew is reluctant and disagrees. At school, Juliet is shocked to find out that Tessa has spent her cut of the money they scammed out of her father on a brand new car, and is not being discreet as originally promised. A nervous Juliet confides in Mr. Carpenter who tells her that he will take care of it. The next day at school, Juliet learns that Tessa was brutally attacked and robbed and has been put in a medically induced coma. She assumes Mr. Carpenter is to blame and breaks down to the mysterious person who hatched the entire scheme in the first place…her mother.

Finally more pieces about the twins’ past are coming to light, but with so many schemes being hatched by absolutely everyone on the show, it’s still impossible to tell where the season will go.

Bridget is still on the hunt for answers about Siobhan’s secret life and motives and seems to be getting them with the help of Siobhan’s ex driver who has been taking her to secret locations. First stop, Siobhan’s secret office in Harlem. While there, Bridget finds a mysterious key which only feeds her curiosity. Eventually, she hires the driver—who is ex-military—to be her personal security when she realises that she is still not safe.

The real Siobhan is continuing to tell Henry half-truths about her motives for switching lives with Bridget. She informs him that she knows a secret about Andrew that could destroy him. But, due to their iron-clad pre-nup agreement, if she is to file for divorce, she would receive nothing so she is forced to extort him in the hopes that she and Henry will be able to run away together with their baby. All that she needs is, of course, the key Bridget took from her office. She eventually retrieves the key and plays Henry what we can only assume is an incriminating tape of Andrew.

Meanwhile in one of the biggest turns of the season, Juliet has a major secret revealed. With the support of her parents and Siobhan, Juliet is going over her testimony against Mr. Carpenter, the teacher who allegedly sexually assaulted her. But when Britta, the other key witness in the trial admits that her statement to the police was a lie, the case is dropped and worse, Mr. Carpenter is counter-suing for millions of dollars for defamation. Eventually, Andrew agrees to settle in the hopes of giving Juliet a fresh start. Little did everyone know however, that Juliet, Britta and Mr. Carpenter were in cahoots the whole time in a complicated, and messy attempt to extort money from Andrew. In one of the biggest twists of the season, it worked.

We’re over halfway through the season, but how much more complicated can it get?

After the Christmas hiatus, many Ringer fans feared it might be hard to get into the increasingly complicated plotline again, but not so. Don’t worry—the twins are still as scheming and manipulative as ever.

Siobhan is still in New York looking for some incriminating evidence that will prove once and for all that Andrew is cooking the books at his company. Her lover (and one of Andrew’s employees) Tyler is still in Paris footing the bill, in large part because Siobhan has convinced him that he is the father of her unborn child – the father is in fact, for those keeping track her ex-lover Henry.

Siobhan hacks into Andrew’s computer and attempts to copy files in the hopes of uncovering the truth about his company. Just as she is doing so Andrew and Bridget almost catch her in the act. Along with stealing the files she also takes a diamond ring, which Andrew recently gifted.

She goes to see Henry and organizes a meeting so she can explain why she has been so distant and clear up what she knows about Gemma’s murder. Due to miscommunications and Siobhan almost getting caught by Andrew and Bridget, she misses their date and the next time Henry confronts her, he is actually confronting Bridget, which leads to more confusion. Henry decides to end his relationship with her once and for all.

Meanwhile, Henry also calls Agent Machado in the hopes of being able to find out more information about Gemma’s murder. While the police believe it was a murder-suicide committed by Charlie, evidence found at the scene has Bridget’s fingerprints.

And what about Juliet? Well, she still hasn’t told her parents about her English teacher, Mr. Carpenter, forcing her to have sex with him but her close friend at school is urging her to fess up. When Siobhan (Bridget) offers up the apartment for a school benefit, Juliet is horrified to find out that her English teacher will be in attendance. She promptly gets tanked and starts verbally attacking him. When she finally spills and tells Siobhan (Bridget) what happened, Siobhan punches Mr. Carpenter in the face and tells him to leave the party. Juliet finally comes clean to her dad about what she says happened but like with everything else this family does, we believe there must be a twist or lie somewhere in the mix….

After the standard holiday hiatus, which felt like eternity, Ringer is finally back.

Malcolm and Bridget are still on the hunt for the truth about Charlie. They find out that the phone Malcolm swiped while searching Charlie’s secret house belongs to Gemma. Malcolm decides to tip off the police investigating Gemma’s disappearance. But it’s too late, as Charlie has already moved Gemma by the time the police search his house. Malcolm is now the number one suspect in Gemma’s disappearance.

Back in Paris, the real Siobhan is trying desperately to convince Tyler (who saw Bridget and Andrew together while he was in New York and assumed it was Siobhan) that she is no longer in love with Andrew. She gives herself a black eye and tells Tyler that Andrew punched her, but Tyler doesn’t fall for it, especially after realizing that Siobhan was only with him for insider information he had on Andrew’s company.

Meanwhile, Juliette’s inappropriate relationship with her English teacher takes a turn when she confides in a friend that he forced himself upon her….

Back in the primary mess of things, Charlie calls the real Siobhan (who is still in Paris) and informs her that he is planning to kill Gemma to keep her quiet, despite Siobhan’s best attempts to change his mind.

Charlie then confronts Bridget (who is still pretending to be Siobhan) and tells her that he does in fact have Gemma and will return her safely in return for money. She agrees but because the police are trailing her the deal is called off and Charlie shoots Gemma. As he’s discarding the body, the real Siobhan shows up and decides she no longer needs Charlie to complete her mysterious plan and she kills him, then stages it to look like a murder-suicide.

After the formalities of grief are over, we find out that Siobhan is planning on staying in New York, and while Charlie’s death causes Bridget some relief, she is still full of questions, and determined to find some answers. Here’s hoping we find out more soon.

This week’s episode finally provided some answers to the questions we’ve had for weeks. The biggest piece of information that we find out early on is that Gemma is indeed alive and has been kept captive by Charlie in an apartment in Brooklyn.

But then come more riddles. While looking for more answers as to the mysteries of Siobhan’s life, Bridget finds a prescription for anti-depressants and schedules an appointment with the psychiatrist who prescribed the meds in the hopes of uncovering something. Bridget steals the doctor’s notes from Siobhan’s last session and finds out that Siobhan was convinced she had a stalker who was out to get her. During the course of the session (in which, she of course is pretending to be Siobhan) Bridget realises she’s actually falling in love with Andrew.

Meanwhile, a newly sober Malcolm begins to become suspicious of Charlie and with Bridget’s help, starts to uncover the truth about him. They find out his name is actually John, he’s not a sponsor and is most definitely not living a sober life. Malcolm also uncovers his second residence in Brooklyn and is seconds away from finding a captive Gemma when he has to flee for fear of being caught.

When Charlie gets a call from the real Siobhan who is still in Paris, we find out the second juicy nugget in this, the first episode to finally shed some light: Siobhan organized to have a fake cop minding Bridget before Bottway’s trial. It was that fake police officer that convinced Bridget to flee witness protection to see Siobhan. So now we know that Siobhan’s plan all along was to have Bridget assume her identity but we still have no idea why…. Here’s hoping next week’s episode is as revealing as this one.

Last week’s episode ended with a petrified Siobhan (who is really Bridget) in the hospital about to receive an ultrasound for a baby that she isn’t pregnant with. Luckily, it was assumed to be a miscarriage and Siobhan’s husband Andrew didn’t suspect any lies.

Bridget goes to meet Malcolm who is still in New York after having escaped Bottoway’s thugs. Malcolm tries to convince her do go away with him, but she informs him that she has to stay for her safety.

Agent Machado brings Malcolm into questioning in the hopes of being led to Bridget. Malcolm refuses to speak but is running out of options.

Bridget soon realizes that Malcolm is using drugs again and offers him a place to stay and puts him in contact with her New York sponsor – or rather, the man who she thinks is her sponsor but is really a goon hired to by Siobhan.

Back in Paris, the real Siobhan is still scheming a way to ‘fix her situation’ with the man pretending to be Bridget’s sponsor. Things get more complicated when we find out that Tyler, the man Siobhan has been living with in Paris, is flying to New York to meet with his boss—Siobhan’s husband Andrew. Things take an awkward turn when Bridget shows up at the meeting, which only confuses Tyler and makes for an uncomfortable night for all involved. After the dinner Tyler calls the real Siobhan and informs her that he is cutting her off and will no longer be paying for her stay in Paris.

Still no indication as to what the real Siobhan is going to do about her very real pregnancy, or why exactly she’s out to kill her sister Bridget, but considering we’re only halfway through the season, things are bound to get much, much more complicated.

After a week off, Ringer is back with an increasingly complex band. The police are still looking for Gemma and since they found Bridget’s fingerprint on some evidence they ask to question Siobhan (who is actually Bridget).

Soon after Gemma’s disappearance, Bridget told both her “husband” and Gemma’s husband, Henry, that she has a twin sister who is a suspect in the case. Down at the police station, “Siobhan” (who doesn’t get booked, fingerprinted or asked anything of substance by the police) tells agent Machado that Bridget has left her a message telling her she’s fled town, thinking it will buy her more time.

While trying to find out what really happened to Gemma, Bridget asks her new sponsor Charlie, who is also an ex-cop, to help him uncover what happened, and Charlie agrees to help.

Juliet—who has been trying to clean up her act—goes to a party to take care of her drunken friend and ends up in a car accident. As punishment her dad cuts her off. No trust fund, no credit cards… nothing.

Malcolm, who has been held captive by Bottoway, escapes and heads to New York to find Bridget. When Bridget sees him, she immediately faints and is rushed to hospital for a concussion. While in the hospital, the doctors ask to perform an ultrasound to see if the baby is OK. Little does everyone know the baby doesn’t actually exist…. How in the hell is Bridget going to get out of this one?

Meanwhile, Charlie finds Gemma’s missing car and promptly places a call to Siobhan in Paris, who has solicited him to get rid of Gemma because she knew too much… what is the reason?

This week’s episode begins with Henry ridding his home of any evidence that Gemma was harmed. When Siobhan (Bridget) goes looking for her, Henry informs her that he has no idea of her whereabouts and simply cleaned up the crime scene. He then accuses her of committing the crime saying that he came home to find blood on the walls and a broken vase but no Gemma. (Siobhan) Bridget tips off the police and anonymously delivers evidence in the form of the bloody cloths Henry used to clean the crime scene.

Meanwhile Juliette surrenders her stash of drugs to Bridget in the hopes of making a fresh start, which leaves Bridget feeling torn and unable to get rid the drugs. It’s also Juliette’s first day of public school and she’s already making enemies but a hot young teacher comes to her defense with the principal. No doubt there will be a story unfolding there.

The police begin their investigation into Gemma’s disappearance by questioning Henry, but let him go when they find Bridget’s prints on the evidence. The police investigating the murder call agent Machado, who calls who he believes is Siobhan to inform her of the evidence.

During the last moments of the show, in a flashback, we see that Bridget purposely left a fingerprint on the evidence. We also see the real Siobhan who is still hiding out in Europe, and we learn that she really ordered for Gemma to be kidnapped and maybe even killed. But why?

This week’s episode picks up the day after episode four ended. Siobhan, her husband Andrew and her ex-lover/ best friend’s husband Henry are on their way back to the city from the Hamptons. We learn that Gemma, Siobhan’s best friend, left early after finding out that Siobhan and Henry were having an affair. While Bridget (pretending to be Siobhan) tries to explain who she really is, Gemma isn’t hearing any of it and leaves for the city.

When they return, they find that Andrew’s daughter Juliet has trashed the apartment and shows no remorse. Siobhan convinces Andrew that Juliet has a drug problem and needs help.
Bodaway’s men still have Malcolm and are still injecting him with drugs in the hopes that Malcolm’s will to stay clean will force him to divulge information about Bridget’s whereabouts, but as yet he won’t give any information.

Meanwhile, Gemma has been looking back at old photos and has figured out that Bridget was telling the truth about who she really is. Gemma decides to make a deal with Bridget: she will keep the truth about Bridget secret but in exchange for keeping her mouth shut, Gemma asks Bridget to stage sex with Henry so that she can divorce him without him gaining any of her wealth.
