A man was arrested on Aug. 21 when he tried to steal cargo from a truck making a delivery to 380 Amsterdam Ave., near West 79th Street. A police officer saw Douglas Davis, 58, open the commercial truck’s cargo door and attempt to steal 12 cases of assorted juices and teas. Davis was charged with
