Monday, Nov. 7. The popular indie pop band The Drums performed to a sold-out audience at Bowery Ballroom. With a sound reminiscent of The Smiths, the group swayed the crowded venue with tracks from their latest record, Portamento, including “Money” and “Days,” to name a few.

Frontman Jonathan Pierce easily provoked his fans, dancing across the stage in a style similar to Morrissey but perhaps more awkward, captivating all the same. The Drums put on a fantastic show, having come far since their early days—with the ticket sales to prove it.
