Attempted Bank Heist

A man attempted to rob a Wachovia bank on May 13 at 12:45 p.m. Police said a teller told them that a man walked into the branch at 2040 Broadway and West 70th Street and said he would kill her if she did not give him $4,000. There was no note or weapon, cops said.

COSMETICS HEIST

William Acevedo was arrested on Nov. 20 for attempting to steal $617.53 in cosmetics from the Duane Reade at 976 Amsterdam Ave., between West 108th and 109th streets.
