One stood in the back of the store while the other went up to the register and told the cashier to hand over money. He moved his jacket to show a gun tucked into his waistband. An employee was able to call 911 and the two men ran, according to cops. A witness said they fled in a silver Mercedes and drove east on West 82nd Street.

Police said that on June 24 at 3:30 p.m., the burglar entered the rear employee office through the basement of the adjacent connecting building. Soon after, the employee noticed the intruder rummaging around the break room. Cops said he fled through the basement after stealing a digital phone from a purse.
