Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly has announced that a suspect in [last month’s mugging of two elderly ladies] was arrested today on drug charges after the victim of a 2006 attack picked him out of a photo line-up.

Kelly said [Jack Rhodes, 44], is suspected of attacking a woman on Dec. 30 of last year in Jamaica in a manner extremely similar to the March 4 attacks of 101-year-old Rose Morat and 85-year-old Solange Elizee in Queens. Rhodes has [served time in the past](http://www.ny1.com/ny1/content/index.jsp?stid=1&aid=69159), for a period between 1995 and 2003 after he was convicted of robbery and burglary in Queens.

From the [New York Post]: “The state Legislature is still debating a bill, introduced after the attacks, that would make it a felony to assault anyone older than 70—slapping the assailant with a maximum of four years in the slammer. The state Senate has approved the bill, but it faces an uncertain future in the Democratic-controlled Assembly.” ’Cause you know how those democrats hate the elderly.
