Studio B-ye Bye

It's being reported by [The Brooklyn Paper] that Greenpoint's Studio B—an offshoot of a Miami dance club known for raging parties and being incredibly hard to find—has been shut down by the Department of Buildings. Shows scheduled for this week, including a Friday night party with [Princess Superstar](http://www.princesssuperstar.com), have been canceled.

While the club was a welcome addition to the neighborhood's nightlife scene, which can otherwise be summed up by dive bars and Polish disco halls, the noise from rock shows and a rooftop bar, in conjunction with the rowdy crowds that would congregate outside on otherwise-quiet Banker Street, evoked ire in a number of neighbors.

Here's hoping that neighbors enjoy the silence while it lasts, because even if the club is kicked out, a space like Studio B's won't be quiet for long.
