Stocking Up On Rubbers Online

The New York Sun has printed an interesting article on the city’s condom distribution plan. That’s right, 1.5 million condoms are given away—as in for free—to various health clinics throughout New York City … And, oh yeah, local barber shops get some, too. Cool. Last month, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene got all tech-savvy, launching an Internet-ordering system and—we gather—seriously improving the city’s safe-sex statistics (they used to only distribute about 250,000). And here’s the good news, the really, really, really good news: Any group (though we’re not sure if the high school Lacrosse team counts) who wants to offer free condoms and lubricant can simply go online to www.nyccondom.org and request up to 10,000 condoms. And, they can make as many orders as they want! That’s a whole lotta lovin’. It’s a shame shipping won’t guarantee delivery by Christmas.
