Stealing From The Church

| 11 Nov 2014 | 01:17

Not all was jolly and jovial on Christmas day. Somewhere between $20 and $30 grand was stolen from [St. Mel’s Roman Catholic Church in Queens] shortly after morning Mass. God works in ironic ways, we guess. Police say that the safe contained donations for needy children. The Rev. Christopher J. Turczany marvels at the fact that the burglary went down while church-goers were still in the building. Apparently, the crooks were seen getting into a SUV with their Christmas goodies. We hope Santa brought those needy kids something extra special nice to make up for the lack of cold hard cash.
