"Steal Of A Deal," L.I. Estate Up For (Cheap) Grabs
Looking for a fabulous new place at dump prices? Has the IRS got a deal for you!
This 19th century French-style mansion in Upper Brookville, Long Island, was seized as part of "OperationVINCity," an 18-month investigation that busted up the largest Stolen Car Ring on the East Coast and resulted in the arrest of 11 defendants from six states. And now it is available for auction.
The home was purchased with the ill- gotten gains of Brooklyn used car dealer and apparent stolen car thief leader Michael Pescatore, who pleaded guilty to charges and agreed to serve an 11-year sentence and forfeit assets amassed through the operation, according to the IRS.
Not just anyone can show up and get down with these ill-gotten gains. You can register for next Thursdays auction [here].
