SLA And Scores West Go At It

Back in February, Scores West [temporarily lost its liquor license] after some employees were arrested for prostitution which, contrary to popular belief, is not what the exotic dancers at the West Chelsea hotspot are hired to do. Now the State Liquor Authority and Scores are at it again: Yesterday, the club’s manager, Harvey Osher, 38, ended up in the hospital after [police gave him a whooping](http://www.nypost.com/seven/04182007/news/regionalnews/scores_big_hurt_in_clash_regionalnews_tatiana_deligiannakis_and_andy_geller.htm) at the Harlem offices of the State Liquor Authority. He suffered a bruised rib, injured foot and possibly a heart attack at St. Luke's Hospital. This is a standard case of “he said, she said,” as the NYPD claims SLA agents were involved but a SLA spokesman denies it.

From the New York Post: “Harvey Osher was among 40 club employees and relatives who had turned up to support the club at a hearing on keeping its liquor license.”

But because the room was small, only the two co-owners and their lawyers were allowed to attend. According to a witness, cops led the others into another room, informed them that they couldn’t leave and then stood guard. Being the smart strip club employees that they are, they called their lawyers who told them they could leave unless they were under arrest. So they tried to walk out. This is when it gets a bit hazy. Apparently, a cop pushed Osher causing his foot to get caught between the floor and the elevator door, at which point he fell and began vomiting. Is anyone else thinking lawsuit? Perhaps the worst part is, if it was a heart attack, Osher will forever have to explain that it was prompted by a cop and not one of the [Scores ladies].
