Sidewalk Snatch

| 02 Mar 2015 | 04:54

Just after five in the afternoon of Saturday, May 4, a 68-year-old woman left her cell phone and wallet on a table outside a bar on Second Avenue and went inside to get a drink. When she returned, she found her property was missing. She searched the area but was unable to locate the missing items, which she was absolutely certain she had placed on the table. The victim's son managed to recover the cell phone from a woman on First Avenue after his mother called her own phone and the woman answered. Items in the wallet included the victim's ID cards, debit and department store cards, plus $200 in cash. No unauthorized charges have appeared on the stolen credit cards.
