Showdown at the Salad Store

One man assaulted another who was trying to get his money back in a deal gone wrong. At 3:05 PM on Tuesday, August 27, a 45-year-old man was punched in the face numerous times by a 25-year-old man of his acquaintance outside a salad store on Third Avenue. The victim suffered a bloody lip and pain and swelling to the left side of his face. He told police that he had bought a bicycle from his attacker a week before but later discovered that the bike was broken. The seller then told the buyer he would give his money back, but had been giving him a runaround for a week. The seller again said he would return the money when the buyer came to his place of work -- the salad store -- but instead assaulted the buyer. The victim was taken to Roosevelt Hospital. Before the attacker punched the buyer, he said to him, "You want to solve the problem?"
