Shatter Matter

Early in the morning of Sunday, May 19, a 48-year-old male cabbie was preparing to leave off a passenger on 80th Street. The cabbie put his taxi in reverse and accidentally struck the front bumper of another driver's vehicle, causing the other driver to get angry. The driver of the other vehicle approached the cabbie and tried to open the passenger-side front door of the cab. The cabbie locked his doors, and the other driver ? angry that he was unable to enter the cab - hit the front right windshield of the taxi with his fist, shattering the windshield. The mad motorist then took off in his vehicle, heading eastbound on 80th Street. Fortunately, there were no injuries to the cabbie or his passenger. Still, the hack may need a better backup plan.
