Schneiderman v. Bruno, Round One

| 11 Nov 2014 | 01:24

This morning, Manhattan/Bronx State Senator Eric Schneiderman, a Democrat, also took the time to discuss the move made by State Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno earlier in the week, [which saw him appoint Brooklyn Democrat Carl Kruger to chair the social services committee], a bipartisan move without precedent.

Like others before him, Schneiderman sees this as proof that Bruno is running scared from the growing Democratic minority.

"We are fighting hard to take the majority from the Republicans, and we are clearly doing very well," said Schneiderman. "Joe Bruno is no chump, he's good at what he does, he's fighting back."

He added, "You don't get into a heavyweight boxing match without expecting to ever take a punch. We can take a punch. I think we're on our way to the majority, and this is a sign of desperation on their part, quite honestly."

    Ding ding.
