Saving Brooklyn one T-shirt at a Time
The Brooklyn Brand continues to grow with [District Cotton]'s new line of Brooklyn T-shirts that debuts with one featuring a SAVED Domino Sugar Factory, which was recently granted [historic landmark status](http://www.newsday.com/news/local/wire/newyork/ny-bc-ny--dominosugar1211dec11,0,6571106.story). Like a blend between Brooklyn Industries and American Apparel, District Cotton is touchy-feely good to their workers and prints on 100 percent organic cotton shirts. Now that they have joined the ranks of sanctifying all things Brooklyn, we wonder what the next in the line will be? Can't wait for the limited edition McCarren Park Pool shirts (signed by artists who have played the pool) or, eventually, the RAZED shirt which will follow the eventual development in Ft. Greene. District Cotton has hosted design contests for their shirts in the past, maybe it's time for all those wannabe designers to start submitting now.
