Salon Snatch

A man stole two iPhones from a nail salon on York Avenue. At 1:20 PM on Tuesday, August 27, a man walked into the salon and removed two iPhones from the counter when the store's owner, a 29-year-old woman, was not looking. He then fled on foot. A 33-year-old male salon worker then chased down the robber and demanded that he give the phones back. The robber handed over one phone, but the two men struggled over the second phone, and the robber fled again, heading north on York Avenue. Police searched the area with the salon worker, but were unable to locate the thief. Video footage is available. The stolen phone was a white iPhone 4S valued at $700.
