Rudy Holds His Lead

    Tonight's Republican debate will mark the first time former Tennessee Senator and Law & Order leading man Fred Thompson will appear with the field. A strong performance might give him the opportunity to cut into former Mayor Rudy Giuliani's perpetual national lead, further confirmed in a new Gallup Poll released today.

    That poll, found [here], gives Giuliani a 12-point lead over Thompson, 32-20, with Arizona Senator John McCain four points behind that. The poll also shows Giuliani with a 72% approval rating among his party faithful.
