Rudy Beats All

Republicans might want to get used to the idea of Rudy Giuliani becoming their eventual presidential nominee, at least if things keep going the way they are.

A Newsweek [poll] finds the former mayor is maintaining his lead over other top Republicans, and is even seeing it grow. He now holds a 25 point lead over Arizona Senator John McCain compared to just four points in a January Newsweek poll, and he would absolutely wallop former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (70-20).

Rudy also wins all match-ups against Democratic candidates, though by much slimmer margins (by one over Senator Hillary Clinton, by two over former Senator John Edwards and by five over Senator Barack Obama).

Clinton also defeats Obama and Edwards for the Democratic nomination, 52-38 and 63-32 respectively. Clinton also holds a one point leade over McCain and a 54-34 lead over Romney.

The polls margin of error is +/- 3%.
