On Tuesday, June 11, a woman from Brooklyn was sitting in front of a building on Reade Street texting on her phone. Suddenly, a 16-year-old man grabbed her phone from her hand and fled on foot, heading southbound on Greenwich Street. The woman was unable to track her phone, which apparently had been turned off. The suspect had been accompanied by another 16-year-old man. The seized cell was an iPhone 5 valued at $600.
