Rat Shangri-La Inspector Is Grounded

The inspector who passed the now infamous KFC-Taco Bell the day before it was discovered to house dozens of furry squatters was relieved of his duties today. And to add insult to, well, insult, the city’s health department will be double-checking some of his other inspections since he began last June. The fast food restaurant, which was shut down once footage of the acrobatic rats was released, must submit a plan detailing how it will correct violations and pass a complete re-inspection before reopening. The franchise owner, ADF Operating Corp. of Fairfield, N.J., has 20 other restaurants in the city, which health inspectors will now be visiting.
