On June 9, a 30-year-old woman contacted police when someone took her cell phone straight from her sweater pocket. The woman was standing on the northwest corner of West 86th Street and Central Park West at 9:30 p.m. that evening. Cops said a man ran up to her and snatched the $300 cell phone from her pocket and then fled west on West 86th Street.
