two people had their phones stolen right from their hands. a 48-year-old man had his iphone taken oct. 10 on the southwest corner of west 65th street and broadway. he was talking on the phone using a pair of $149 bose earphones. the mugger came from behind and snatched the phone, then fled west.

the next day, a 33-year-old brooklyn woman had her blackberry stolen while walking east on west 76th street between amsterdam and columbus avenues. she told police that around 2:30 p.m., a young man, wearing a gray, red-striped hoodie and gray sweatpants, run up from behind her and stole the phone. he ran west on west 76th street.
