'Prestigious Professions' Poll Puts Journalists Near Bottom

A new Harris Poll ranking the prestige of different professions finds firefighters, scientists and teachers to be at the top of the list while bankers, actors and real estate agents sit at the bottom.
But very close to the cellar is the journalistic enterprise, which only 13% of those polled found to have "very great" prestige, placing it above the position of union leader and below that of a business executive.
