While it’s a relatively small percentage of properties, it represents many of New York’s most livable neighborhoods and most popular tourist sites, generating millions of dollars in revenue for the city. The economic and quality-of-life benefits of landmarks are clear.

Please note that the name of the organization of which I am executive director is Landmark West. Landmark 76 is a separate Upper West Side community group.
