    more than 400 families came to investigate summer camp options firsthand at the new york family camp fair series, held on saturday and sunday, feb. 7 and 8. guests had the opportunity to visit with representatives from 40-plus camps on both days, and they also got a chance to receive some expert advice on how to select a camp from renee flax, director of program services for the american camp association of new york.

    twenty families received four complimentary tickets to either stomp or the gazillion bubbles show, and grand prize-winner glenda hoffman won a family weekend vacation to frost valley in the catskills.

    the fairs were held at the friends seminary school on east 16th street in manhattan and at the berkeley carroll school in park slope, brooklyn.
